HiYo replaces the dull textual exchange we call “Instant Messaging” into a frickin’ fun experience. It installs onto your
Messenger application (currently Windows Live Messenger) and works its magic. Check out the screenshots page to get a

2. Why HiYo?
We think the Instant Messaging world needs a serious shaking. What we see around us is old school conventions forced
into the hectic world of Instant Messaging, and it doesn’t work. Though Instant Messaging has been around for 10 years
now, there is still so much more room for enhancing and enriching our conversations. We couldn’t just sit by.

When you open the HiYo window, you’ll see a little feedback link at the bottom.
6. What happens when I send HiYo stuff to a friend that doesn’t have HiYo?
We would really like to have our content delivered seamlessly between HiYo and non-HiYo people, but because our
content is more advanced than what is possible on Messenger, your friends have to install HiYo in order to enjoy it! So
your non-HiYo friends will receive a short link showing them how to get HiYo instead.
7. Does it come with Spyware? Adware? Crapware?
Don’t insult us. We take pride in our software. Nuff said.
8. Does HiYo work with all versions of Windows Live Messenger?
HiYo is compatible with Windows Live Messenger 8.1 and 8.5.
9. What are HiYo’s minimum System Requirements?
- Intel Pentium III or equivalent processor
- 512MB of RAM
- Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1; Windows XP Professional or Home Edition with Service Pack 2
- Adobe Flash Player 9
10. Do other Messenger add-ons work with HiYo?
We cannot guarantee that Messenger add-ons will work with HiYo. We are working hard to make HiYo
compatible with all the fun Messenger add-ons out there.
11. Why an add-on and not a standalone?
Think of HiYo as a car stereo, and the Messenger application as the car. If you have a killer stereo product, you usually
don’t go around and build a car around it. We hope that made sense...
12. Is HiYo messing around with my Messenger files/data?
No way! HiYo sits ‘on top’ of Messenger. We do not touch any of the Messenger files or any of your data. If you remove
HiYo, Messenger will be working as if nothing happened.
13. Why is my Messenger crashing?
If you are experiencing a Messenger crash which causes your Messenger application to shut down completely,
you may be using Adobe’s Flash Player 10 which is not compatible with the HiYo version installed on your computer.
We have just released a version that fixes this problem.

14. Does HiYo work with Adobe Flash Player 10?
The latest version of HiYo is compatible with Adobe Flash Player 10;
however, older versions of HiYo are not compatible with Flash Player 10 and may cause your Messenger application to crash.
To use HiYo with Flash Player 10, you must update to the latest HiYo version.

15. How can I know which HiYo version is installed on my computer?
To find out which HiYo version is installed on your computer, follow these steps:
1. Click any image on your HiYo toolbar within your Messenger window.
2. Click the ‘Settings’ link at the bottom left corner of the dialog that will open.
3. Your HiYo version number appears at the bottom of the ‘HiYo Settings’ dialog.
